Welcome to my blog, The World of Human Capital, established January 2010. I am a Managing Director at Emerson Search and a Certified Public 
Accountant (CPA) who specializes in recruiting finance and accounting professionals. Prior to recruiting I worked in public accounting (KPMG) on the external audit side in the consumer and industrial markets line of business. I am a member of the Institute of Internal Auditors, Colorado Society of CPA’s, and COPAS (Council of Petroleum Accountants Societies). I received my Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from Bradley University.
Outside of the office I take full advantage of everything Colorado has to offer. I enjoy hiking, mountain biking, snowboarding, golfing, and playing soccer. I enjoy reading both fiction and non-fiction books and enjoy staying current on industry trends and new technology and how it can make my life easier.
This blog will give insight to the job market as it relates to the professions of accounting and finance and all other jobs that fall under that umbrella. I will also give advice on how to make technology work for you and save you time. Lastly, I will add some humor, post some news clips, and other entertaining tidbits.
